THE CHALLENGE
A plant nursery from Shelley, Huddersfield got in touch as he needed a bookkeeper quickly. They had a VAT Return due and needed a bookkeeper to enter all of his invoices and expenses onto his Xero Software quickly.
THE SOLUTION
As an accountant in Brighouse I went to Shelley the next day to collect his paperwork and to get a better understanding of how he runs the business. Within 1 week I had completed all of the bookkeeping for the VAT Return and suggested ways to improve the way they organised their books, including creating an accurate debtors and creditors list, gathered customer and supplier email addresses in order to improve efficiency.
I have also implemented a credit control process so that his customers never fall behind on paying their invoices.
