We can’t believe it but, Cooper Accounting Limited is officially one!

The beginning of lockdown saw our Managing Director, Samantha Stokes starting out as a sole trader. Despite the given circumstances that many businesses faced at this time, she managed to go from strength to strength, providing support for businesses who were struggling with their accounts during the pandemic. Assisting with tax returns, bookkeeping, applications for grants and other Covid related Government initiatives, the business grew.

In this short amount of time, the business has seen many changes and is now, Cooper Accounting Limited and we are even more excited for what the future holds.

Part of our expansion at Cooper Accounting Limited has been our move to a lovely mill office at Kings Cross, Halifax. We have ample space for our growing number of staff and it also accommodates multiple offices for private meetings with clients. Whether we are meeting them for the first time or catching up with long standing customers, it is a great space to work, meet and catch-up.

The Cooper Accounting team are also growing rapidly and we are always on the lookout for new talent to come onboard and help the business grow. It is great to have like-minded professionals working together so that we can help our customers with anything when it comes to their business accounts.

At Cooper Accounting, our aim is to provide 1st class service in terms of producing accurate accounts, providing sound business and tax advice and above all aim to respond to clients emails and phone calls quickly. We understand that business accounts can be confusing and daunting, that’s why we are here to make the process as smooth and straightforward as possible.

Starting a new business, particularly in the midst of the pandemic is always a risk. But, it is safe to say that as the business continues to grow, it is a decision that our Managing Director, Samantha has never looked back on. Being able to help local, West Yorkshire businesses and build genuine connections is what keeps us all going.

We now have a large and, continuously growing portfolio of clients and whilst we specialise in construction, we still have a large variety of clients from a range of sectors and professions including; hairdressers, plant nurseries, furniture manufacturers, maintenance engineers, builders, personal trainers, gym owners, mechanics and more.

Our goals for the future

We can’t wait to see the business grow over the coming months as we welcome more customers and see the team expand. Our goal is to onboard more team members to the business in the coming year to support our growing customer base. We have had a really healthy financial year and have plans in place to see this double in the next twelve months.

At present, we have over 140 clients with new, potential customers reaching out to us every week, mainly from referrals. We are so pleased that our existing clients are happy with the service that we provide and that they give us great recommendations so that we can continue to support more businesses.
